Jerome Evans, Ph.D. – Quantitative & Qualitative Analysis Evaluator
Dr. Evans is a research psychologist with over thirty five years of experience in program evaluation and research. Jerry received his doctorate in clinical psychology, did his post-doctoral at UCLA, and since has maintained a continuing interest in applied research with health care services in clinics and hospitals and with health promotion in organizations, communities, and across regions and states. His areas of specialty include quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistical analysis, and theories and models of health promotion. Currently through his background in applied health research, Jerry contributes to program development in alcohol and drug abuse prevention and inpatient and outpatient treatment of substance abuse. Other areas of program development concern youth diversion, county-level systems of behavioral health care, home visitation for new mothers, and workplace health and safety. Jerry has continued a years’-long interest in the psychosocial recovery of children and adults with advanced cancer and guides research in a multi-year follow-up study of people in cancer survivorship. He is a member of the board of directors of the Mountain Family Health Centers, a non-profit, multi-center medical services organization. All of these various professional activities combine in a focus on how institutions and communities can encourage the wellness of individuals.
Jerry is a member of the American Evaluation Association and the Association for Psychological Science. He lives near Aspen, Colorado, is married to Shelley, and has a grown daughter and son who live in the Seattle area, where the Evans’s maintain a second home to enjoy family and big-city life.
