Debra (Deb) Strachan – Business Manager

Deb has provided financial services to the MOST of Us program at the Western Transportation Institute since summer, 2010.  She worked in the same position for six years when the program was based in the Department of Health & Human Development.

Deb has close to 40 years of public financial service experience.  Some of the duties she performs for the program include establishing, managing and analyzing fiscal systems associated with numerous projects, insuring compliance with Montana state laws and regulations, initiating and maintaining purchasing and contractual obligations,  and providing various human resource elements.

She enjoys her work and is excited to be part of a program dedicated to researching new methods for enhancing and promoting public health and safety.

She and her husband, Gordon have been married since 1975, resided in Bozeman since 1990, and raised two sons, Gordon and Carl, who now have families of their own.  Outside of work Deb and Gordon enjoy family, and spending time together hunting, fishing, hiking and gardening.
