About MOST of Us

MOST of Us is a nonprofit, full-service social norms marketing and research firm based at Montana State University – Bozeman. Nonprofit social marketing programs and media campaigns are focused on health promotion throughout the country.

MOST of Us is the first program in the country to use social norms marketing at a statewide level and to address issues such as tobacco use prevention and seatbelt use on a large scale. We continue to research new areas using a social norms-centered environmental prevention strategy.

MOST of Us was founded in 1998 by Jeff Linkenbach, Ed.D. Our organization strives to bring together various disciplines to conduct research projects. Many of these research projects are focused on creating effective media campaigns based on sound social science. MOST of Us uses the Montana Model of Social Norms Marketing as a foundation and guide to create campaigns that include or produce the following:
